Mortgage Loan Modifications

During 2011, home foreclosures in the United States took an all-time high of 3.5 million. To assist people faced with the devastation of losing their homes, the bankruptcy court launched its Mortgage Loan Modification Program in 2012, helping thousands of people to keep their homes, lower their monthly mortgage payments and bring their mortgages accounts current. In 2013, foreclosures in the United States dropped to below one million, and have been decreasing steadily over the years. Much of this can be attributed to the innovative Mortgage Loan Modification Program implemented by the bankruptcy court.
